In Out of Sight, the two characters have met previously and, fascinated by each other, meet up again in a bar.
In the following excerpt, decide whether a flashback or a flash-forward is used?
The editing mixes two consecutive sequences, the flirting in the bar and, as a flash-forward, the love scene in the hotel room. Both scenes pursue their storyline: in the first, the conversation becomes increasingly sincere; in the hotel room, the characters move from the sofa to the bed. The editing thus projects the characters into the physical closeness that they are longing for – and literally anticipating.
